closer look at the state's new learning standards and how they are being
incorporated into the district's classrooms at a Common Core Information

Information from each academic level was included in the event, as presenters discussed the instructional shifts required by the Common Core standards. The program also included a Q&A with the audience and presenters.
New York is one of 45 states currently implementing the Common Core standards, a uniform set of academic targets that are touted as being focused on the kinds of skills and content that students need to be successful as they advance through school and on to college and careers.
