After a two-day career exploration activity in their classrooms, Van
Antwerp seventh-graders had the chance to speak with professionals from
various career fields during Career Day on March 11.
Twenty-four presenters from eight different career paths were on hand to speak with students. Each student had the opportunity to hear from nine different presenters who work in fields that ranged from medical services to technical careers.
The theme of the day was goal setting. In a keynote speech, Mark Pfaff, former vice president of New York Life, demonstrated what good goal setting looks like and why it is important. Students were then challenged to write down three goals they want to achieve.
