The Niskayuna Schools Department of Music Education serves as a resource for the development of musical knowledge, musical skill through performance, aesthetic exploration, attitude development, and provides for the personal growth of each individual. The primary goal of this department is to promote music as an art, through self-discipline and self-expression. The NAMM Foundation has recognized the Niskayuna Central School District for its outstanding commitment to music education by naming it one of 375 “Best Communities for Music Education (BCME)” in the country.
High School Music Program

Middle School Music Program
All students in grades 6-8 receive general instruction in music and have the opportunity to participate in chorus and grade-level string orchestras and bonds. Learn more about the Middle School Music Program
Elementary School Music Program
Elementary school students receive general music instruction 1-2 times per week depending upon their grade level. All grade 4/5 students are part of the school chorus.
