Dear NHS Families and Students,
The purpose of this message is to let you know that the Niskayuna High School Program of Studies for 2023-24 is now available. This begins the process of course selection for next year.
We encourage you to take a look at the Program of Studies to begin planning for next year. You may want to bookmark the link above, but you will always be able to find a link to it from the left side of any page on the high school website (“High School Links”) and our NHS Counseling Center page.
The Program of Studies contains a timeline for the course selection process that we encourage you to review at this time.
In January, students will meet with their counselors to review teacher recommendations for course selections. In advance, we encourage students and families to begin thinking about the courses they would like to take next year.
By April, student course requests are made available for parental review and discussion. Course changes require parent/guardian permission and are due by the end of the year so that schedules can be finalized over the summer. You will receive communication throughout the scheduling process with reminders of important dates.
