NHS swimmer Fayth Goodspeed wins state title

state champion swimmer holding sign that says 2024 championJunior Fayth Goodspeed won the 100 breaststroke state title by .62 hundredths of a second over the weekend, in a time of 1:03.17. 

Her win marks the first Niskayuna girls swim state champion since 2012, and her winning time broke her own school record. 

Goodspeed’s school record was once held by her current coach Amanda (Test) Nappi, ’02. Nappi held the record in 2001, although it had been broken before this weekend’s race.

In addition to Goodspeed’s win, Jackie Zenner won the Section 2 sportsmanship award and the girls medley relay time took sixth place. The medley relay team included: Zenner, Goodspeed, Helen Hao and Madison Wolfort.
