Additional Studies and Key Documents
Why is this planning process necessary?
- Ensure there is sufficient space for students, especially given a projected increase in enrollment;
- Provide students with modern learning spaces aligned with the direction of our programs, including
more interdisciplinary and hands-on learning in the early/middle grades; and - Implement a facilities plan that promotes health, safety and the efficient utilization of space.
Program Delivery Study
As part of the process, the district is working with a consultant during the 2018-19 school year to examine the potential for other PreK-12 program delivery options, including school configurations, given the vision of the district and anticipated enrollment increase. The committee will act in an advisory capacity to the Board of Education, with the Board determining the final scope of a capital project proposal.
