Absentee/Early Mail Ballot Information for 2025-26 Budget Vote

On May 20, 2025, Niskayuna voters will decide on the annual school budget and other propositions and fill three seats on the board of education.

Voting by Absentee or Early Mail Ballot

Applications are required for voters who wish to vote by absentee or early mail ballot. Links to download these applications are below, or you may request an application by contacting District Clerk Cynthia Gagnon at (518) 377-4666, ext. 4, or by emailing to cgagnon@niskyschools.org. Completed absentee and early mail ballots must be received by 5 p.m., on May 20, 2025.

Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballots will be automatically mailed to voters who have registered through their respective county Board of Elections for absentee ballots due to permanent illness or disability. All others must submit an absentee ballot application to the District Clerk indicating the reason for the request. Applications must be received no later than May 13, 2025, for a ballot to be mailed to the voter. For absentee ballot requests after that date, please contact the District Clerk.

Early Mail Ballots

These may be obtained by completing the early mail ballot application and submitting it to the District Clerk. Applications must be received no later than May 13, 2025, for a ballot to be mailed to the voter. For early mail ballot requests after that date, please contact the District Clerk.

Voter Eligibility

Voters must be citizens of the United States, 18 years or older, and a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to May 20, 2025.
