The Bella Johns’ Memorial Scholarship is in memory of Bella Johns, a member of the Niskayuna Class of 2023. Bella’s friendly, outgoing and kind personality was seen throughout her life. Her compassion and generosity was felt at school with her peers, during softball, and volunteering with Girl Scouts. $1,000 will be given to a senior who is self-driven and exemplifies the sweet loving spirit of Bella.
To apply:
1. Write a short essay, no more than 350 words, describing what “honorable character” means to you, how it plays a role in your life, and how it will guide you in the future.
2. Include two letters of recommendation from individuals who know you well (teachers, coaches, advisors, employers, etc.)
3. Make sure your name, address, parent/guardian’s name and phone number are included.
4. Please submit all the above information in Google Docs to Mrs. D’Angelo at jdangelo@niskyschools.org by April 10, 2025.
