The annual school budget vote and Board of Education election takes place on the third Tuesday in May each year. This year’s budget vote will take place on May 20, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Niskayuna High School.

Who is eligible to vote?
You must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, and a district resident for at least 30 days prior to the vote. Personal identification and proof of residence may be requested.
Absentee/early mail ballot information
Absentee and early mail ballot applications are available 30 days prior to the budget vote.
- At the District Office, 1430 Balltown Road, during regular business hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.

Applications are due seven days prior to the budget vote if the ballot is to be mailed. After that date, please contact the District Clerk for information on how to obtain an absentee or early mail ballot. Completed absentee and early mail ballots must be received back to the District Clerk no later than 5 p.m., on the date of the vote.
