Join the Thoughtexchange!
Colleagues and Community Members,
I am hoping you can take a few minutes to add your voices to a project that we have been working on for some time as a community. As I’ve mentioned in recent updates and meetings with faculty, PTO and community groups, we have been working on our district vision and mission through a variety of strategic initiatives and activities for several years. So many of you have been involved in this, from curriculum development and program reviews to advisory committees focused on school culture, mental health, multiple pathways and much more. Many of these initiatives are depicted in the graphic below.
We are now at a point where we need to update our vision and mission statements themselves to reflect our work today – and who we hope to become tomorrow. We need them to be short, memorable statements that are more relevant to who we are as a district and what we are about – and we need your help to do it.
We are expanding this conversation to the entire community through a ThoughtExchange that asks the question:
Imagine we’re 5-10 years in the future and we’ve become the very best district we can be. What does it look and feel like to be part of our school community, and how did we make it happen together?
Please share your thoughts and see what others are saying at https://my.thoughtexchange.com/scroll/180242656.
I encourage you to take a step back and think about the kind of district that you want to be part of. What’s your vision for how we build on our values and traditions for the coming generations of students and community members? What do we aspire to achieve? What opportunities will make the biggest difference?
The Thoughtexchange results will be shared across our community and with a group of stakeholders that will be taking on this project. Look for more information soon about participating in this group.
Thank you for adding your voice to this conversation!
