Dear Niskayuna community,
After months of anticipation and preparation, I’m so excited to join the Niskayuna Central School District today as your new superintendent of schools! I want to thank Dr. Pennyman for her leadership over the last year and for her support throughout this transition process.
She and the board of education have invited me to engage with administrators, staff and students and to learn about Niskayuna’s academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs. In the video below, you can watch as I had the opportunity to take part in student-led tours at each of our schools.
I enjoyed hearing directly from Niskayuna’s students what they love about their schools and what they expect from their teachers and school leaders.
Despite the countless challenges we’ve faced during this pandemic, our Niskayuna students have exhibited extraordinary resilience and great optimism. They’ve not only navigated their way through this pandemic, but they’ve also inspired their teachers and administrators to lean forward, think creatively, and persevere! I hope you are all able to take some time this summer to rest and rejuvenate.
I’m looking forward to leading our team’s work this summer and preparing to welcome our students and staff back to school in September!
