Nominating petitions available for May 2025 board of education election

Nominating petitions are currently available for individuals interested in serving on the Niskayuna Central School District Board of Education. Three  seats will be up for election this year on Tuesday, May 20, which is the same day as the school budget vote. Candidates are elected at large.

In order to appear on the ballot, a candidate must return a petition with the signatures of 32 qualified district voters by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 21. District clerk Cynthia Gagnon can be reached by phone at (518) 377-4666, ext. 4, or by email at cgagnon@niskyschools.org.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, qualified voters in the school district, and have resided in the district continuously for at least one year before the election.
